RFT Express announced today the acquisition of The Yorkshire Courier and Couriers for Yorkshire, and their full integration into the RFT Express Family..
The Yorkshire Courier, the original £1 a mile courier which was formed during the last century, to focus on high volume national and international clients. They became known as the ‘£1 Shop Couriers’ among their clients.
Couriers for Yorkshire first got involved with RFT Express in 2006 when they launched the carbon busting “M1 Shuttle”
Now fully integrated into the RFT organisation, we will carry on running the “M1 Shuttle” and in addition take some of the runs from RFT Express Bulk Parcels, which will result in lower rates for clients.

Google new +1 button is starting to appear on websites, Googles answer to the facebook 'Like' button.
Eventually it will appear in searches aginst a web site listing, to potentially give searches a better indication of the the content on that site.
Currently only available in the US, it will eventualy roll out in 44 languages, you can get the button here

Back in 2006 RFT Express Couriers introduced the M1 Shuttle with the slogan, Save the Planet, save money.
The M1 was managed and run for RFT Express by Yorkshire Courier com, within 3 months we were brought in as preferred contractors, and between Yorkshire Courier.com and ourselves we expanded as RFT Express increased the number of runs.
As the recession started, businesses using the M1 shuttle @ 75p per mile, increased rather than the expected decrease, as companies looked round for cheaper alternatives.
